Mississippi Backroads: Drive-by Photos
Don’t worry, I was the passenger. Just a glimpse into backroads Mississippi. And, no, Mississippi is not made up entirely of abandoned farms and stores called The Store. But pictures of mansions have no character. So I photographed the ones I felt had some character. Took nearly 700 pics on our drive (p.s. thanks Coleman for being patient enough to drive 4 hours with the passenger window all the way down practically the whole time) and these are the ones I was drawn to for one reason or another. We were on our way to Nashville, so it is likely that some of these were technically taken somewhere in Tennessee. Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing – lots of hanging from car windows & a patient driver!

hey kate! i loved all of the photos. i paused and stared at the one of the man pushing the lawn mower — or was the lawn mower pulling the man?!!! i pondered the reasoning behind that – maybe he has bad knees?
i loved the weathered old (vanishing) barns, but was also touched by the lady with the bicycle. ah, so peaceful – more people should remember that less is more!
thanks for fiving me a peek at the rural countryside of my home state!
